The Copyright.eu certificates are archived within Arkhinéo, the Electronic Archiving System

1 min read

The Copyright.eu service has opted for a secure French electronic archiving system (SAE). Arkhinéo is the former subsidiary of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC Arkhinéo), which is especially well known for ensuring the conservation, integrity, and confidentiality of the most critical documents.

Each Copyright.eu certificate (standard or premium) is subject to a rigorous archiving procedure that comprises several steps:

Various metadata concerning your deposit (such as the title, description, and author…) are transmitted with the certificate to ensure its identification within the legal archiving system.

While our certificates already benefit from a qualified electronic timestamp (see the article on the legal value of the qualified electronic timestamp compared to others), the archiving system also attributes an additional certain date and assigns a Unique Archive Identifier (UAI).

The sealing of the archive will then have the effect of making our certificates unalterable and traceable to all actions taken on the documents.

Each certificate is copied simultaneously on 4 media spread over two remote active-active sites, allowing us to have 4 original archives. The archived documents are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Numerous pieces of evidence are available for each archived certificate. Our clients can request access to the sealing data in XML format and the Arkhinéo certificate of compliance at any time.

As a French and independent organisation, Datasure relies on trusted service providers recognised for their rigour and national sovereignty. Here are the certifications and approvals held by the third-party archiver on which the Copyright.eu service is based:
